2010 - 2011 The Kiwanis Club of Tidewater Young Professionals held their Charter Presentation celebration on Friday, March 4 at the home of Michael and Rebecca Nunes The Kiwanis Capital District Governor, Tom Varner, was in attendance and presented the Charter to Club President, Alex Hazelwood John Tyner, Capital District Growth Chairman, was also in attendance along with representation from the following clubs in the region: Young Professional Educators, By the Bay, Mercury 64, Peninsula of Oyster Point, Greater Hilton, Downtown Hampton, City Center Newport News, Old Point Comfort, and Warwick The club chartered with 30 young professional members This new club will utilize what Kiwanis International calls a 3-2-1 Format They will devote a minimum of 3 hours per month to community service, 2 hours per month to social and networking activities and 1 hour per month for a club business meeting Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time Year End: 2 Projects Completed, 27 Service Hours, $0 Spent, 1 Interclubs, $0 CD Foundation 2011 - 2012 2012 - 2013 |
