1945 The club aided in a number of returning service men in securing employment. Sent 2 boys to the YMCA camp Sponsored the drive for funds for the Health Center. Raised more than $60. Attended church in a body Took an active part in all community undertakings and in the teenage canteen club. 1946 The club worked with the teenage canteen until it was disbanded; sponsored dances at the HS; arranged a trip for worthy boys and girls to see a Washington Senators' baseball game in Washingtn; laid groundwork for the Key Club; sponsored a Hobby Club for boys and girls; aided the USO campaign for funds; sponsored the Catonsville Choral Society from 15 to 46 members; helped create the Retail Merchant's Association; raised $25,000 for the health care expansion; $160 for whell cots adn other equipment for Rheumatic Paralytics at St Grabiel's Hoe; aided in teh March of Dimes. 1947 The club deferred for very good reasons not to sponsor a key club at the HS; purchased 2 trombones for elementary school orchestra; had a float in the July 4th parade; sponsored the HS band in a parade; joined with other clubs in a July 4th celebration; treated 5 children for defective eyesight and provided glasses; took 41 children to the Shrine Circus; distributed 190 sandwiches, 280 bowls of soup, 480 hot-late lunches, and 1900 bottles of milk for children luncheons; contributed $500 to the Public Health Association Building Fund; gave 3 children from NY a summer vacation through Fresh Air Children program. 1948 The club held a boys and girls night, sent 3 boys to the MCA camp. Donated prizes for the July 4th celebration with 285 children participated. Sent 2 underprivileged to camp and furnished money for candy and drinks. 1949 The club assisted in Boy and Girl Scout drive; subscribed to the hopital drive, took 12 children to a skating party; assisted in the formation of a summer recreational program of 200 children; assisted in 4th July celebration attended by 15,000 people; organized a Little League. 1950 Sponsored a baseball team each for the boys and girls; sponsored a teenage club for the Baltimore receation conucil, contributing $15 for janitor services; donate $50 to the colored recreation council for purchase of playground equipment; assisted in forming a summer recreation program for elementary children. 1951 Storm drains were installed to control flood waters from community storms. Sponsored a Kiwanis boys team and Girls team in the Little Basketball League program; members attended with wives a teenage club dance with 350 teens.
