The club sponsored a baseball game between the high school teams of Pulaski and Dublin clearing $350 which was given to the local high school team for uniforms and other necessities; entertained the high school football squad and the coaches at a regular luncheon, and then had six members of the squad to attend the luncheons of the club for the tell weeks of the football season, (these boys were entertained in rotation); joined with two other civic clubs in giving each member of the team a gold football, at a cost of $100 started a movement to have student driving lessons given in the county high schools; laid the ground work for establishing a Key Club in the local high school; took an active part in organizing a Chamber of Commerce; sponsored a special Baseball Night, with added features, foot races, baseball throwing contests and the like, drawing the largest crowd of the season; took care of the expenses of a deaf boy in school, fitted two children with glasses, and donated $20 to the school milk fund; raised money by concerts, a circus and a scrap metal drive, and in other ways so that, starting the year in debt $1,400 it closed the year with a bank balance of $1,500; contributed $100 to a "Memorial Fund" for the widow of a minister; and sponsored a "Go to Church" month
