1950 The club sponsored the Halloween parade and party attended by approximately 1500 children and 500 adults; sponsored a fund raising campaign for underprivileged child work, raising $24029; aided a family in which the mother was striken with polio providing clothing, food, and financial assistance for the father and children who were in quarantine; contributed items to the Annapolis club's annual auction for the benefit of the children's ward at the hospital; is making plans to organize a junior baseball and basketball league. 1951 Kiwanis Administration made 6 visits to other Kiwanis clubs representing 24 members for a total attendance and 287 miles traveling one way Had 11 visits from other clubs listing 67 Kiwanians traveling 233 miles one way Had 4 ladies nights throughout the year Inducted 4 members and 44 committee meetings. Boys and Girls Work gave a National Kids Day movie to 2,460 children, sponsored a Halloween parade and party for children of Annapolis and suburban area, collected old aluminum license plates, and donated $45 to the local Red Cross. Underprivileged Child committee collected "special gifts" donations for the annual March of Dimes campaign, donated 18 tickets to underprivileged children for the Childrens Drama Group production, donated $25 to March of Dimes campaign and collected food and prizes for a Halloween party.
