Kiwanis Administration visits to other Kiwanis clubs bringing 41 members, traveling 188 miles one way The following social events were enjoyed: Ladies nights, Inter-club dinners the Fair opening There were 10 inductions of new members, 4 club programs on Kiwanis education and publicity through newspaper, bulletins, and radio.
Boys and Girls Work sponsored Boy Scout group 660, Cub Scout pack 660, and new Explorers Post for Boy Scouts We sponsored Little League Baseball, and presented trophies A National "Kids Day" celebration was held We sponsored one boy to summer camp for three weeks and presented a trophy for school patro.l
Key Clubs sponsored club banquet with school as guests College Day with speakers and representatives from different colleges, an intramural basketball tournament and participated with the senior class in selling Christmas trees.
Underprivileged Child sent 200 pairs of new shoes to Kansas City club for Mississippi flood victims We held a clinic for babies and underprivileged families Medical, surgical, and psychiatric services were given during the year.
Public and Business Affairs radio recordings were sponsored for 13 weeks on "Its Fun To Live In America" We sponsored 2 boys to AAA Patrol Safety School We sponsored the Falls Church Fair for 4 days Broadcasts were made over WFAX on Kiwanis and its activities in community.
Support of Churches and Their Spiritual Aims printed a spiritual
message in weekly bulletin and arranged for religious leaders as speakers
at club meetings.
