The club had only a few meetings during the last 2 months of 1942, most of the time being given to instruction in Kiwanis objects and objectives On Charter Night the Charter was presented to the club by the District Governor and 133 Kiwanians as guests were present

The club furnished hot lunches for needy school children at a cost of $75 Sponsored a dance, the proceeds of which were donated to the junior Red Cross
Sent copies of the Guadalcanal Letter to each of the employees of the industrial plants in the neighborhood It aided the War Bond Drive, and sponsored the Victory Garden plan, offering prizes for the first, second, and third places, $31 Bond, $10 in War Stamps, and $5 in War Stamps Gave $30 to the United War Fund Drive, sent 50,000 cigarettes to servicemen overseas
Delegations visited Abingdon, Marion, Bristol and Phillippi, WV and entertained visiting Kiwanians from Bristol, Narrows, Marion, Abingdon, and Roanoke and furnished a speaker at a special meeting at the Bristol club
The club iiad a Family Picnic at the new Municipal Swimming Pool where bathing preceded the dinner
The Charter Night Anniversary was celebrated as a Ladies' Night with the LG as guest speaker The club was represented at the MidWinter Conference and the District Convention At the close of the year 2 members were in military service,
